Giselle Buchanan is a Caribbean American writer, educator & artist.

Over the past ten years, she has read poems and held workshops at New York University, Kickstarter, The Wing, MoCADA Museum, Chicago Theater, Bronx Museum, Apollo Theater, Bowery Poetry Club, California Institute of the Arts, Hammerstein Ballroom, Tufts University, Nuyorican Poet’s Cafe and elsewhere.

Through her work with students in settings from Riker’s Island to the woods of Oregon, she has grown intimate with the role our education system has played in silencing the creative voice and has made it her mission to light the path towards creative liberation through writing and art-making.

Giselle’s mission is to liberate the lost artist and assist people from all walks of life in reclaiming their creative voice.
